A view from the work in progress

The photograph captures the construction stage: timber decking, a mitre saw and boards set out beside the water. It is a site photo rather than a finished-project portrait.

Making room for the outlook

The deck follows the edge of the outdoor space with planting around it and an open view beyond. Its setting shows why the position and orientation of an outdoor area matter as much as its size.
